M.A.

ELIGIBILITY - Bachelor’s Degree (with the concerned subject as one of the main subjects).

(i) For admission to M.A. (Economics), candidates having B.A./B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as one of the main subjects, or at 10+2 level, or those with B.B.A/B.Com/B.C.A. degree, are also eligible.

(ii) Political Science, History, Defence Studies, Philosophy, Sociology &Education, candidates with BA in other subjectsor from other 3-year bachelor’s degree can also apply with 5% deduction in marks.

(iii) For admission to M.A. in Psychology of campus(CBCS) or colleges, candidates from all streams can apply with 45 % marks in aggregate. However, preference will be given to B.A.(Psychology) or Psychology with Honours (2% Weightage). Remaining candidates will be considered with 5% deduction in marks.

(iv) The candidate who has passed B.El.Ed. Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade point will also be eligible for admission in M.A. Education & Sociology programme. There will be 5% relaxation. ( for SC/ST candidates as per U.P. Govt. rules.
